I've been wondering how to take screenshots since I started playing today. I thought it would be similar to FFXI's (Scroll Lock -> Print Screen), but I'm having trouble finding out how to do it. Does anyone know how?

Hmm. I've tried that, but it isn't working (to my knowledge).

do a search for "screenshots" with-out quotes on your pc and it should list that directory.

Find a program that will allow you to take screenshots in game, like FRAPS or another freeware tool. Same procedure, but you can take screenshots with the UI too.

To LazyB and anyone else with logitech:
Press and hold down the Function key (FN Key - Mine is between the Alt and Ctrl right side)
Press the Pause / Break key then release the FN key ... but keep the Pause key pressed
Press Print Screen.

How do you take a screenshot with the UI up versus clearing the UI?

Only way for that is to use a third-party program that allows taking screenshots (such as Fraps). SE only allows you to take screenshots by hiding the interface (was this way in FFXI, too).

Interesting note: unlike in FFXI, hiding the interface will now show the copyright notice even in external screenshots/video capture. (Maybe it shows on-screen, too, not sure since I play on a TV and the bottom is cut off a bit.)

Yeah but what button do you press to take a screenshot, or hide the UI?

Holding down Scroll Lock hides the UI; pressing Print Screen takes the actual screenshot.
