I'm not a high enough level to have found out by myself, so, are there any storyline missions yet in this game? They're basically what differentiated FFXI from any other MMO for me.

I assume FFXI had nation missions starting from release, if not beta...

You're still below level 1? because that is when the storyline missions kick off. In fact the first thing you do is a storyline mission. At first they're slow and kind of just getting you on your feet but they pick up little by little similar to FFXI.

The main questlines are there from level 1. You get the next part at level 10 or 15, and so on.

Have not seen any mention of storyline missions. I did the first questline which was "ok" albeit a little pointless. It eventually culiminated in saying "hey, go make some money and kill some stuff" which left me a bit unguided, and haven't really found evidence of anything else.

edit: didn't realise it was a storyline mission.. it mostly revolved around simple tasks and wandering the city, then ended. after it finished, it didn't say anything else. Upto Phys lvl 10 now but not really checked back at the adventurers guild.

Oh, yeah, sorry, I meant to ask, are there anymore after that first introductory mission. I'll get back to levelling up then.

@supernick: not so super are you? why don't you get your mom to hold your hand while you play the game it might help...as plenty of people in other topics have explained to you how the game doesn't leave you unguided and everything is written in blood for you and what and where and how to do what.

@Dizmo, open your journal from the main menu, click on "quests" from the drop down menu, and click on the only one that shows up and see where you're at in the storyline mission, it'll tell you exactly what to do.

I meant in terms of the main story/main quest line, it kinda drops you after you complete it, at least for awhile I guess. I'm sorry if you aren't smart enough to understand the specific aspect I was pointing to in feeling unguided, maybe you can get your mom to read you a book before bed.

<insert random childish comment about you not being so solid>

what book do you suggest? she hasn't read me a bed time story in a while, this is actually a good idea.
