Color level scheme sucksFollow

I would prefer to have the Too weak to Incredibly tough over this green, blue, orange, and red crap. I can kill most greens and blues and a few reds, but at the same time the greens and blues can kill me. It's not just the colors though, even the mobs level range is really off.

I was killing sheep on my level 5 Marauder all of them green and blue. Then I fought one and I had full health and it mopped the floor with me. A green puk hatchling is harder then a red roseling. With your choice of what you can fight being limited due to the over crowdedness and the lack of mobs at the moment. Makes it kinda tough to decide what you should fight.

On a brighter note. I Like the combat system and having the abilities from the other job classes REALLY helps a lot.

One thing I've noticed with the color scheme is this. I've read most of the post about the color coding and how they rank up.. so started as a archer and did the 1st mission/quest and such and the color coding seem to help me judge how tough they were.
Now the fun part.. as i was doing other leve's the mobs that i was after was red in color.. meaning stay the **** away from it.... suprisingly i was able to kill them 95% of the time... but when its not during a leve... i get FUBAR. Its a good concept but think it needs some major tweaks to get it to be reliable

Are the color of the mob's toughness being measured against your job's rank, or your physical rank? Possibly a combination of both?

Where do you find Sheep? I need to kill them to aquire some materials I need for my blacksmithing / armoursmithing.

And is it possible to have skills from another class on your action bar while your playing as the other class?

For example can you have cure on your hotbar while playing a Gladiator?

EDIT: And if you can would it even be worth it? seeing as i've put no points in magic skills just all in VIT and STR..

And does anyone know what dexterity is for? is that just for ranged weapons or does it make you hit more often?

The color scheme doesn't hold for the leve mobs, they have always showed red for me and they were a peice of cake...maybe a glitch, maybe intentional who knows. The color scheme is actually better than FFXI's mob cons - for one, its the same when you're solo, sometimes in FFXI you would con a "decent challenge" and destroy it and other time it would destroy you...but when you group up with other players in FFXIV the color on a mob changes accordingly, meaning when i'm in a party of two the mob that was "red" for me solo is now only "yellow" and so on.

The sheep are quite a ways south of Limsa Lominsa past some bridge and through a cavern.

Yea you can have cure on any job once you learn it along with most abilities/spells. The only thing is it usually cuts their powers in half and lengthens the recast timers. It is still well worth it though. When you're down to that last bit of life and the mob is too. That 120 extra hp you get from cure on your marauder makes a **** of a difference.

Dexterity is for melee accuracy so far. It might have other uses like increases critical hit or something. Know one is going to know for sure what the stats are going to boost other then what the crystal menu tells us.
