It depends on how you want to build your class.

vit is more like physical defense, and mind is more like magical defense.

I don't think they have actually announced how attributes effect discaplines of the land/hand, so your guess is as good as mine

DoL have three stats specific to them. Output, Perception and something else I think.

If you look at the Attributes and Gear menu in game it has the DoL stats listed seperately. Don't know what affects DoH though.

some gear has effects that buff DoH stats, I forgot what the stats were called though, I'm sure crafstmanship itself is one

It looks like a lot of us really need this info!
My friend found that thread last night, after searching today I can't find it either. X.X;
I do remember it saying Culinarian = PIE, Armorcrafting = VIT, don't remember much else.
[NOTE: after a quick toying with redistributing 10 attribute points, the DoL/H points did not change after moving some stats from one area to another.]

This statement is based on higher abilities like:"Extrapolation > Temporarily increases influence of intelligence on craftsmanship". which may indeed lead people to believe that Alchemy is influenced by Intelegence.

This implies that each Disciple of the Hand simply provides you with it's own stat-boosting effect, and that you do not need particular stats for a particular craft, eg, PIE for Culinarian, but rather Culinarian gives you the ability which makes PIE more beneficial whenever you're crafting at all. This would in turn mean that one can still do whichever DoH they want, but might seek out some training in a particular one to earn the ability which boosts the stat that they would find most helpful. If any of this is correct, I will be a happy happy hyur.
