It's nice to know someone realizes that grabbing a file from a website is going to be faster then torrents.. particularly people that didn't have a torrent program already installed. Thought I was going crazy.

This is getting annoying that each and every "daily" patch loves to get stuck at 94.6/94.8% I mean seriously. Especially when you flying along at 200/300 kb/s and it gets to the infamous 94.6/8% and then the download drops to 0 and stays there.

This one is red like its a boot version which has not even showing up in the meta files.

The Red patch is the "Patcher" patch it is found in the bca2a8ae folder you can download the torrent in the metainfo, and place the new patch in there or find somewhere to download it from.

Once that is applied the patches are now going through no problem and won't get stuck, the reason they were stuck because the last patch for the "patcher" was bugged.

Note: I'm at work, so I can't verify this, but...

The patch folder this time around may be "bca2a8ae" so the above path may be, "Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Version\downloads\ffxiv-beta\bca2a8ae\patch". This would be where I'd try putting the patch after I downloaded it.

Hope this helps!

Heres the Client patch which goes in the bca2a8ae/patch folder

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QC7ZV0Z2

Once that is done rerun the patcher let it patch and it will download the latest patch fine after a min or so.

Probably they name the file names the same for both client and game patch (which is annoying) so just I used that link and it worked for client.

Your patch is for the Client patch correct?

SO......Once again I cannot play the game due to downloads getting stuck and not loading also the now expected "stuck at 98.6 or 98.5" message. Come on can SE not design a game or for that matter have a working down loader......

This manual every morning trying to figure out how and where to grab the files from is just crazy.
\
So another morning spent downloading files and not playing the game. this makes day 5 of *********

Thank you for the help. Keep posting fixes as the help is much appriciated.

Once we put this file into the patch folder and then get to the blue down loader screen... should we then put this file into metainfo?

SE should fix their stupid update process, the users should not be responsible for finding ways to download the file to make the game work. SE gets 0 out of 10 for this.

I did just as the OP recommended on my hubby's computer and it went from the red to the blue, and about 5 minutes later it began to download. Awesome awesome awesome. Now if only SE could figure out their stuff lol.
