As long as I'm reading that small pic right and that's a 7600 GT for your video card that is your problem. Game won't run on that you need a new video card.

7600 GT is correct...

So since it wont work for beta can I assume it wont work for the game also? How does the rest of the system seem? I dont mind buying a video card but if the rest of the computer is junk I wont bother.

Thanks for the help

The problem is probably your twilight eclipse wallpaper.

I am having the similar problem. When I launch, regular or as admin, it immediately crashes after a small black screen, similar to the cmd screen. I have tried running it in Compatibility mode, as admin, and using the ffxivboot.

These are my system specs:

OS: Vista Ultimate SP2
Vid Card: ATI Mobility Radeon X1800
Processor: Intel Core 2 T7600 2.33 GHz
RAM: 4 Gb
DirectX 11

I have been able to run it on my other laptop, but with major lag. That laptop has lower specs than this one.

Any ideas?

Add $50, get ATI5770. Add $100, get GTX460.

Rule of thumb:

$150 to start with a video card, $200 recommended

Tiger's prices are not as competitive typically as, say, newegg.

Funny that a bunch of guys sitting around playing cat people in a fantasy game and watching anime take the time out of their day to lol at someone for liking a movie about vampires.

Twilight isn't vampire stuff. Vampires don't sparkle, nor can they exist in daylight.

Funny that you can sit in front of your PC (the information highway) and call twilight a movie about vampires.

Your card is even lower than the minimum specs. We are sure.

The processor is on the low end but it might be able to hobble along if it had a good card to compensate. That card is terribad though.

For a guy that obviously has no regard for fantasy ...wtf are you doing here?
We all know vampires don't exist. We all know lallafell, and miqo'te are just pixels. You defend twilight in this thread, then you say

Fantasy is fantasy, but it has rules. Just like real life. I think, you may have picked the wrong genre of games to play.

I was just pointing out an irony that made me laugh a bit. It's really not that big of a deal. You hate twilight, cool man I get it. It's just a teen movie anyway, nothing to get worked up about.

You are correct. Minimum specs mean nothing - especially when it comes to launching a download application. Yes, I'm sure. I ran Warhammer Online on an AMD 1800+ single-core with only an AGP 7600+ video card (AGP 4x even). Granted, I got like 10FPS on a good day, but it still RAN.

(long story, suffice it to say that my main box was down, awaiting a new vid card)

The point is, even below minimum specs, unless you're RIDICULOUSLY low, the game will still run, just very, very slowly.

Yes, they would have to specifically program the game to not run on X hardware, and no game designer is going to waste time programming a game to not work with old hardware, they just won't support it if it's below a certain requirement.

Based off what I've seen on the forums currently it is a combination of two things.

1) Bad/old/incorrect drivers.
2) Bad compatibility from Squaresoft.

If you've updated all the drives you can find, I don't know of anything that will fix it. I hope square will take a hard look at this and actually make their game compatible.
