A new system of battles that requires some skill player would be interesting.
Here's an idea, go make your own damned MMO then. You'll find out how hard it is to actually make something different from the market's offerings. All MMOs are basically the same, as far as gameplay goes. There's a reason for that: A basic limitation to the medium. You can't make a true "skill-based" MMO, mainly because playing an MMO takes no ******* mother@#%^ing skill. It takes you thinking about what action to take, then taking said action. While that can be seen as "skill", it's more planning, preparation, and time invested in aforementioned items than skill.
You want something that takes skill? Get out of your chair and cook dinner, or go build a shelf, or go tend a garden, or play a sport. Those take real skill. The best part of my idea? You'll not be here to post your whining about how MMOs, all MMOs, work. Edited, Sep 5th 2010 6:08pm by Pawkeshup
