Long-time Final Fantasy XI player, Corinth, who has worked with me on JP Button, and now writes for Final Fantasy XIV fan site, Eorzeapedia, has just completed an interview at PAX with Global Online Producer Sage Sundi and North American Online Producer Yasu Kurosawa. Without the developers on hand, the discussion focused around the player community, both inside and outside the world of Eorzea.

Added interview from FFXIVCore as well to this thread.

Looks like we can look forward to a Ballista type event again. I really liked Ballista, i just hope that people will be more interested in it this time around.

Still no info on companies. However, after being one-shot by a few mobs for 2-5k dmg, i can see why they will be needed lol.

Thanks, as usual, for bringing us the interviews. :)

Player run events sound potentially awesome. And yay for seasonal events!

Seasonal events in FFXI was one of my favorite things. It'll be interesting to see what they come up with this time around...hopefully more fun and involved than egg hunts and goldfish scooping. :D
Smilies for premium users only? Bah, I'll just...oh wait.

Not that I don't appreciate new info, but...

Where are all the other interviews? I thought the major sites were all conducting their own Q&A from PAX.

Hopefully the PVP system is something more than an afterthought this time.

If they made anything close to the equivalent of battlegrounds in WoW, my characters would exist just for PVP in FFXIV.
