Looking for some advice.I am going Archer and my question is how do I level it in regards to complimentry job/s? should I level archer all the way first or periodically switch between other classes to gain other abilities?

There's really no wrong way to do it and everyone's still learning what works best. All the classes have some good abilities to offer. Leveling pugilist to level6 for 2nd wind would be a smart move. It's a healing move for 250TP. Could also level one of the mage classess to 4 for cure spells. Haven't tried it out much, but I'm thinking 2nd wind would be better for the DoW classes.

Valuable information. That'll help a great deal with my marauder, who is at the moment unable to heal except for 150 HP or so every minute.

U have 20 dmg, u shoot 30 dmg, but if ur not RNG, u want HALF, with no time reload, so u get 10. but, BUT, u want no DRG since ur shooting, so its 30 dmg or 10?

..and speaking of second wind, Marauder also has a move called bloodbath, used in correlation with other attacks it retrieves damage dealt and turns it into a percentage of HP gained - so if you use it with a Weapon Skill you might gain back a good amount of HP.

As for how to level up, I would recommend playing around with the classes to get a feel for all of them, see what they have that interests you and then go with Archer - this way you might like this or that from so and so class and use them in your Archer build.

Like the person above me said, everyone is still figuring this out as well. So far because you can't equip more than a certain number of abilities there doesn't seem to be a huge advantage to leveling 2 unless as mentioned above you need a heal. For myself at the moment I'm leveling conjurer and thaumaturge.
Best thing to do especially since it's beta is to experiment, sure one day we will look back and realize most of the ideas were ignorant but have some fun with it.

Yup, bloodbath is fun and of course it just sounds cool. And trying out all the classes is key because I'm finding myself loving different classes than I originally planned to play. So far I've had the most fun with pugilist, marauder & conjurer.

I leveled Marauder, Gladiator and Pugilist to 6 for ability goodies, and I really like the ability to mix and match stuff. I've become a fan of Gladiator, which I had no intention of leveling but it is pretty fun. Rampart is a big help when you are getting your head handed to you, Bloodbath and Second Wind are awesome. So far my favorite job is Marauder, just something appealing about a little miq'ote swingin' a big axe. I also found myself sucked into leveling botanist and miner, which I didn't think I would like but gathering is strangely addicting.
