ALright, i need some help here. Is there any way to save my set skills so i dont have to keep reequipping them when i change classes? So take for instance, my conjurer, i got all those spells equipped. When i change back to conjurer from like, miner i have to re-equip it all over again. is there any way i could equip them with macros or just some how save it to my slots?

.... and I haven't. I still can't figure out how to save my ability sets before changing jobs. Having to apply abilities *every* time I switch is getting a bit frustrating. Any help would be appreciated!

Macros :) Search this forum (like the first 2 pages, or the wiki) and there are guides on how to set macros to switch weapons (jobs) and all your abilities/traits.

You have to do it every time.

Most people use the macro functions to quickly gear up different jobs.
Goes something like

/equip main "Main weapon"
/eaction 2 "Ability name" (sets ability to slot 2)
/eaction 3 "Ability name 2" (sets ability to slot 3)
/equip head "Uber helm"

You get the idea.
Set that up and you can swap by pressing ctrl/alt-whatever you set the macro to be. But keep in mind each line takes like 1 second to happen, so you have to give it a minute to finish. And sometimes you have to press it again because it's buggy and misses lines.

Make a Macro that is named "AoE" and type in /aoe as the only command. This allows you to toggle your spells to hit multiple targets (Area of Effect). Works with Cure as well!

Name: AoE

Test it out. It will tell you that you are targeting Mutiple Targets, and then hit it again to toggle back to Single Target.

I have my class changing macros written like this.

/equip "Weathered Cane"
/eaction 2 "Thunder" main
/eaction 3 "Fire" main
/eaction 4 "Tranquility" main
/eaction 5 "Cure" main

In some cases you need to add the word "main" to the end of each /eaction to tell it what hand does the ability. For some classes this is not necessary.

/equip main "Weathered Fishing Rod"
/equip sub "Bronze Gig"
/equip pack "Bloodworm"
/eaction 2 "Wrist Flick"
/eaction 3 "Gulleye" sub

Notice you have to use the word "sub" for your off-hand, "pack" for arrows or bait.

DoL: Take a look at which of your Class's tools has a higher "scanning" ability on the equipment screen. Make sure to set your scanning ability (Gulleye, Lay of the Land, etc.) to that hand, usually the sub.

Goodluck everyone!

you don't need a macro for aoe - "z" works to toggle

Speak for yourself keyboard user! (smile)

I'm using a 360 controller so I just set it to a macro.

Thanks everyone! This is precisely what I needed!

Mining should be quite a bit less painful now =).
