Teleporting and PartysFollow

I was in a party today and discovered that if you have a Aetheryte but your party members do not, you can teleport the whole party to the location. That made it easier for them to get to another city without taking the time to travel. I didn't see this posted anywhere else but thought it was good enough information to share. I wouldn't make a habit of it though, I try to conserve my Anima points, since it seems like they don't regen very quickly. I think I got 2 back over night.

If the party members don't pay anima, this has a lot of potential for taxi services...

Do you know the max for parties and also how much anima do you get at first and how much do you spend teleporting from one main to town to the next.

i know you get 100 at first which is the max you can get. And from my experience, it takes 4 anima to teleport unless you're KO'd and are just returning to your last camp. Although you quite possibly could spend more anima per teleport the further away you are from your desired location.

Well the distance traveled affects the anima cost. I started in Grinadia(sp?) and walked to Ul and when i was done there I teleported back to Grinadia at a cost of 6 anima. Only a real issue I imagine during beta while Chocobos and Airships are still locked.

Are you completely sure? I was trying to take a friend from Gridania to Limsa Lomsa (he didn't have the Aetheryte) and after I teleport he didn't get the tele-invite in the menu.

I'm betting it could be lag or just some random beta bug but it could be the other way around too.

I appreciate if you can confirm how many times this can be successful.

Thanks in advance.

Ken

This has worked for me as well. I teleported 2 party members to Skull Valley even though they had not been there. You need to be within a certain range of them for it to work, though it does seem like a pretty big range.

Here's what my experiences with anima prices have been so far:
Teleporting to a camp or city in your zone costs 4 anima, and to one outside of your zone costs 6. For instance teleporting from Ul'dah to Gridania costs 6, and so does teleporting from Limsa to Gridania, even though Limsa is twice as far from Gridania as Ul'dah. From a camp you can teleport to any nearby nodes you have been to for 1 anima, and from a node you can return to the nearest camp for 1 anima. Returning to the last camp or node you visited will cost 2 anima, or you can die and return for free. Teleporting to an Aetheryte doesn't count as touching it, so be sure to touch the Aetheryte if you want to be able to return there when you die.

My whole LS started in different cities and we all got together when people got teleports and got everyone all the cities. It can be down any time. Costs 6 anima to travel outside of the region youre in. So Ul'Dah to drybone is 4 anima but Ul'dah to LL is 6 anima.

Well if everybody on the beta that is testing the teleporting could try seeing if being close to a team member when teleporting will send a tele-invite and some should see if it is possible to tele-invite someone that is not in a party or so.
