Will there be new jobs?Follow

I think FFXIV job system sounds pretty cool but with the job types listed I wonder if there will be any other job types added.

FFXIV has some of these jobs types covered already but I don't have the Beta so I am unsure if a close match can be made by combining skills that already exist in FFXIV so that most of these jobs can be matched or if SE will need to release new jobs I think SE will be missing out on some of the fun to be had if they don't include jobs like NIN, SAM, BLU, and they have one coverall job like gladiator to cover WAR, PLD and THF.

Of course they'll add new jobs later on, probably with an upcoming expansion. I don't think they're going to be using traditional FF rpg type classes, though.

OP's name is relevant.

On-topic: I'm sure we'll see new jobs in the expansions to come.

I'm kind of expecting more classes with release as well. Maybe some that have to be unlocked. On a side note I can't find it but I had heard somewhere that they will release new classes before an expansion, hopefully that means release. :)

I think as must that they will be added eventually, although what I want to say is that they really need to work on the problems at hand before worrying about new classes.

I'll bet the farm on there being an Arcanist and Musketeer class. I think they'll probably be advanced jobs that require a certain rank and a quest to unlock, being that they include musketeers in the Limsa introductory quest, and part of that quest is your character trying to join the musketeers and them rejecting you. If that's not an intro to a later quest where you successfully join them, I'll eat my hat.

Considering that jobs are based on weapon type. I foresee quite a few different classes.

We still have:
2hd swords
one hand axes
musical instruments

We could also have not so common weapons like whips/flails/maces. I'm sure there's a few weapon types I've missed but it leaves openings for more job types, that's for sure.

They should add a gunblade class. I would die of joy.

I think this would lead to problems such as 90% of the people not playing any other classes.

They gave corsair a "Hexagun (<-WTF?)", so you never know.

I just want my old Rdm back.
You know you've been playing too many MMOs when:

You pass a cop and wonder if it 'Agroed' you.
Another car passes you, you attempt to /follow it.
You use your "push to talk" key while talking on the phone.
Text-based games You put a /s before every message you type in an IM (or equivalent / command)
(I have done all)

i personally have a "feeling" that they'll be putting in at least a Musketeer, Shepard, and Arcanist in the future because it feels like they were going to , but changed their minds at the last minute... but it'll happen lol

I wouldn't be surprised if Bard was added in the first expansion, considering there's an NPC bard in the Marauder's Guild in Limsa Lominsa.

With there being guilds for Arcanist & Musketeer in Limsa, those might be in release.
