Hey guys, Sorry if this sounds dumb.

I was in closed beta of FFXIV, But I went on holiday coming towards the end of CB, Now its in open beta, I assumed I could log in with my existing account?

But when I try I get this error:

There are no valid service accounts.

A valid service account is required to use this service.
Please add or reactivate a service account from the Square Enix Account Management System.

I went to the Square Enix Account Management System website, Its asking me for a Key code?

What do I do :S

Thank you in advance, My apologies if this has been answered before.

They are making everyone apply for the OB. Lots of miscommunication concerning the distribution of codes for past testers. Check out this page here:

Quote from the entry page:

Quote:
Acquisition of Registration Code for the Open Beta Test

We have an important announcement to the testers who have participated in FINAL FANTASY XIV Closed Beta Test.

Between 19:00 and 19:50 (PDT) on Sep. 1, 2010, an incorrect notice saying "Participants of closed beta test do not need to obtain new registration code for the open beta test." was being made on FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test Application Site.

Participants of closed beta test also need to obtain and register dedicated registration code for the open beta test. Please follow the directions listed in the mail "Guide to the FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test," which was sent to the participants of closed beta test on Aug. 31, 2010, and obtain the registration code from FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test Application Site.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Try the patcher out and if you're having trouble this thread has some alternates and/or possible fixes.
