Specifically abilities. Not traits or actions, I just hit Lv10 Botanist and I got an ability. unfortunately I have no idea how to macro it into automatically equipping. Is there a command for it?

On sort of the same topic, how do you bind actions to alt and ctrl tabs? Would be super useful to be able to do for different action types. Or are those specifically for traits/abilities?

They are called Macros. Look in your configuration menu to find where to set them up and here is how... http://www.eorzeapedia.com/wiki/en/Macros

I see, so no one knows? It's quite a pain as I switch weapons often (Miner, Gladiator and Botanist are my mains) and I've got everything macroed but abilities.

Wouldn't abilities switch automatically? Although I'm not even sure what you mean by abilities. I am a gladiator and I have no such thing (at least not that I am aware of).

This would be my logical assumption, as well. Though, if it is anything like the off hand being assigned 'sub', I doubt it will be that easy. Struggled with that one for a while until someone was kind enough to answer in chat.

Tried /eability, but it doesn't work.

./eability doesn't work nor does equipability, or even trait.

What exactly is an ability in this game? Is it passive or active? If it is passive, it would be safe to assume that it equips autmatically with class change. If it is active, try the traditional /eaction on it.

Hey there.. thought id add in my 2 cents. Ive macro'd in abilities on my miner. Its still /equipaction 1 "Name of ability". The system see's the name of the action and knows its an ability and puts it into the correct spot. It will put it into your ability slot 1. Cause if you look at the ability bar in your menu it still says action bar.

I can't believe someone would not have tried that before even posting this question... sigh...
