Selling items in bulk?Follow

Pretty sure you cannot, but I want to check. Is there a way to select multiple items to sell at once? When you have a backpack of 80 items of trash it would be nice to be able to sell off most of that in one big lump, instead of doing it with a laggy menu in a laggy city one at a time

it should get slightly better with the UI going client side when the games released, but no, I don't think they are going to make 1 button touch selling. SE likes confirmations more than windows vista.

You mean the UI is on the server only atm? No wonder it's so slow and painful! That makes me happy. The UI could be a lot better, if only they would design it for PC only. In Guild Wars (and most MMOs), you assign your skills by dragging nice colorful icons to your skill bar. But in FFXIV, you open skills and abilities, select the slot, select the class you want, select your ability, select which hand it goes on... Bleh. But they have to do it like that if they want the game to be playable on PS3, which they obviously do. And that's not necessarily a bad decision, because people who can't afford a new PC to run a top end MMO can probably afford a $300 PS3, so they're broadening their player base. And the UI is not so bad with macros, and it will be a lot better when the UI gets more pep to it.

I know it's a tough call, but I agree SE is ahead by a nose!

Have you tried to delete a character yet? You have to click delete, select the character, click delete again, wait 30 seconds and finally confirm the delete again.

I feel your pain, but when i decided to delete my Eve Online characters in a mad rage, i was forced to wait 10 hours. I think they force you to wait so long to delete characters in hopes you are not thinking clearly and will reconsider after a decent interval. However, after 10 hours, i was even more enraged due to having to wait to complete my emorage inspired destructive act. Then, after all that, i was asked if i was sure i wanted to delete my character. Yah, pretty **** sure... I waited 10 freaking hours. I almost smashed my laptop.

My Eve characters were finally safely deleted, to the great relief of my imperiled personal electronics... FFXI and FFXIV seem to have pretty forgiving character deletion processes. A good thing for emoragequit scenarios, but will undoubtedly lead to regrets for players who easily bend to the will of angry girlfriends...

Yeah there's that one extra confirmation in crafting that drives me nuts. It has a little blurb about the crafting item you're making that could be put, oh, I don't know *anywhere else*.

many of the confirmations are nuts but this isn't one of them. While we get 3 slots in beta, you only get 1 slot in retail (without paying extra) and that one character is not something to delete lightly, the extra confirmations are a little buffer to make sure, and prevent some kind of weirdo accident.

Oh I know it's there for a reason and I don't think they should take it away, it's just slightly humorous.

Has there been any real confirmation that the UI is actually going client-side in retail? I have the sinking feeling that it's going to stay server side (probably something to do with anti-mods/exploits/hacks/RMT precautions).
