Switching Target problems?Follow

Anyone find the "switch target" from FFXI should be in this game too? Am I the only one that find it really annoying when you're fighting multiple mobs and you cant switch targets without unlocking AND unselecting? In FFXI you just had to select "switch target". Here you need to wait until the mob is dead, including waiting for the death animation to finish, before you can switch target. That OR you need to unlock + unselect THEN switch target.

Any word on a fix for this? Personally I think you should still be able to switch targets while locked on like in FFXI. It would make life a LOT easier.

I cant imagine in endgame not having that "switch target" from FFXI. It's basically the equivalent of totally disengaging mobs in FFXI in order to switch targets. Which would have been retarded. Especially in place like Dynamis where there's target switching going on all over the place.

I would post that here. Their developers monitor this forum and this sounds like something that could be easy to fix, and wouldn't change their gameplay mechanics too much.

I agree, there should be a switch target feature. There should be an auto-target too for agro/claimed mobs.

I'm actually curious, and this seems like an appropriate place as any to ask this.... Has anyone else had serious problems selecting a new target after you defeat a monster in a Leve? I have literally taken almost 20-30 seconds of beating while I try to select the next monster. I have considered that I may just be selection challenged, or that perhaps I just have not acclimated myself to the buttons and menus yet, but I personally am having serious problems with this, and I'm curious if anyone else is as well.

If you are lagging after a finishing a mob, and you can't switch, just hit your cancel button 3 times (should only need twice, but I ussually do it 3-4 times... aka, lagging:)) and you will be untargeted and unlocked, and should be able to retarget at that point.
