And to make this thread a little less pointless, let's introduce ourselfs.

Name: Vantol
Time zone: GMT
And as I was PLD in FFXI for 5 years I'm going to be tank in FFXIV, too.

So tell us a little about yourself.

Sometimes you can find your self in the middle of nothing,
And sometimes you can find nothing in the middle of you.
Loot and gear is nothing. Useless pieces of code that is irrelevent in the long run and is something you can't take away from the game. Experiences in the story and community are the only things you ever take away.

I played FFXI as Brit off and on since late 2004 (played as Fido from November 2003 until mid 2004 then got rid of the account). I'm not sure what my main class will be since I'm interested a few at least. I'll probably be fishing, mining and doing Botany when I'm not fighting. I'm not much of a crafter but we'll see how it goes.

I used to play Dancer, Bard, Paladin, Redmage, Dragoon, Thief, Corsair in FFXI, so support and healing are two of my favourite jobs. I'm planning to level a lot of crafts and a couple of combat jobs until they release new ones, like flayer and bard, that I'm particularly interested in.

I was playing Docent on Valefor, Lianda on Kujata (and later of Valefor after the merge). Lindblum is said to host the new "Nu Dawn" which I hope to find again, as well as the MithraPride LS, which I'm most likely going to hunt down.

That being said, I am also the linkshell leader of "A Mari Usque Ad Mare", a Canadian linkshell for friendly people.

I was Dervish, blm/rdm/whm in XI. Back in the day when folks still did skillchains I almost never missed a magic burst. Had an oopsi on a caveberry though - Dervish casts Escape!.

In XIV I will surely be a magicky lala.

I played FFXI for 6-7 years, with a few breaks here and there. I was on the bismarck server and also spent a few months on kujata(when they first put in server xfer). My main over there was a dragoon, so I figured I might as well pick the polearm class over here on XIV.

Played FFXI for about 6 years with numerous jobs at 75, however my favourites were Samaurai and Dancer. Since nothing like those 2 classes exsists I decided to make a Gladiator/ Pugilist/ Maurader hybrid in XIV, with Galdiator as my main.

Looking forward to meeting you all in game!

I played FFXI for over three years and just got tired of the lag and my old linkshell just fell apart. I played as a 75 PLD and a 75 NIN, so thought I would try something different.
