Quick Way to Level Up?Follow

A friend of mine claims to know a very fast way to level up in the game. I didn't really talk about it with him because I haven't participated in the beta myself yet. Anyway, does anyone know of such a method? If so, do you think it'll make it to launch? Personally I'm hoping there isn't some cheesy way of quick leveling. I didn't much care for Astral Burning in FFXI, I thought it took away something from the game.

So yeah, I'm just curious from experienced beta players. Any clue what my friend was talking about? And if so, do you think it's a beta only thing so people can level fast and experience things?

It sounds like it wouldn't be possible with the surplus system in place, unless your friend figured out a way around that.

It also depends on what ur friend meant by fast way to level

1. Guildleves?
2. A good spot to level?
3. An expliot he found?
4. Or as the poster above me suggest a way pass surplus

Level up or rank up? You level up quicker with more classes I have noticed, for example my 12 Gla will get less exp than my 5 Arm, and my 10 Fsh will be somewhere inbetween.

Anyway to rank up quicker as a DoW class, take up all your GLs that are in an area where you have lots of green mobs, not blue and not yellow. Initiate your GL, get Guardians aspect, forget about the GL and just grind away at green mobs, when the GL timer expires take up the new GL, you lose gil but you get a lot of skill points, if you want you can put difficulty on 1 star and try complete it in the last 5mins remaiing.

You can spam physical levels very quickly just by killing and crafting. Class levels are slower. I hit surplus in a matter of a couple days and at Archer 16. I hate that system... but whatcha gonna do. They'll either listen or they won't. I've mainly been exploring mob packs for different levels in somewhat remote places on the map. That so far outside of leves seems to be the ticket.

If you find that your character is lacking in power you need to read beyond the not entirely complete stat descriptions. Theres a lot of gaps where power can be gained that you can't read in the in game explanations

does that really work? I've thought about that but I never really took any time comparing exp values..

I thought it did when I was low level in CB...but then it was hard to test since most things gave awesome experience at low levels in CB...

Haven't looked into it much in OB, but thought I saw people mentioning you didn't get the bonus...either that or those people were wondering if it would be taken away -shrugs-

Guardian's Aspect absolutely does not have any effect except when hitting/gathering your target mob/resource point.

For example, hitting my target mob with it on results in 80-90 class xp very frequently. Hitting other mobs with it on results in 5-12 very infrequently, the same as without it. Mining a High-Quality <whateverthequestwants> gives 700 or so class xp with it on. Mining anything else gives 150 or so with it on, same as without it.
