Where do you usually level past 7ish in U'Dah? Roadrunners are still red, and the feeders take me a TON of mana to kill and are very risky, that seems to be all I can locate aside from the easy marmots and such.

Moles in cave. Where are Roadrunners? Haven't seen one in Ul'dah yet. Not even sure what you mean with feeders.

Moles, Marmots closer to Drybone. I'm gonna assume roadrunners are dodos? you shouldn't solo those 'til 10-11 and feeders? are those the giant spiders? those are still red for me at rank 12, so i'd stay clear for a while.

Roadrunners are dodos south of Camp Black Bush, toward Cactus Basin Aetheryte Node.

They seems more dangerous than your average dodos that spawns at Drybones.

concidering the ants/spiders hit for 700-800 damage It's a pretty safe bet that those are for higher lvls.

Me three? ;) Tried one of the tall spidery things (green) by the fishing spot and cave NW of Ul'dah and got destroyed around rank 8 marauder (level 11 or so), so seems like blues are still it. Pretty much just run around killing anything blue, but especially the moles, chigoe and errant souls in the caves (works well when fishing since those caves usually have pools in them so I can alternate between fishing sessions and killing sessions).

The best thing about those caves is that you don't have to wait for respawns.

i've noticed a huge increase in people stumbling into my cave of grinding. time to find a new place /sigh. it was so nice not having to walk around to kill 1 marmot every 7 minutes [/complaint]

but seriously, I found another good spot that no one else has seem to found. this is for those that are level 11-13ish. There are dodo's that are REALLY far south from the 2nd camp in ul'dah, past the waypoint as you go toward the red labarynth. sorry I can't be more descriptive, I don't have my map out. But as you get to the entrance of those cool cliffs, there are about 6 green dodo's at level 10. It's really far away and I was shocked to see low level stuff out there, but it seems to be a very nice, quiet place to level. You could probably solo them at around 12 or if you have equip, 10..but i would suggest duo'ing them with a mage. It's a great spot.

Roadrunners are I assume similar to dodo yea. The feeders are spiderish but theyre green/orange to me at 8, I can take them (they hit for 150ish and stun sometimes) but it sucks out a lot of my mana spamming sacrifice. I'll take a look for the moles and such, thanks :)

my advice is to travel to another city to level. Ul'dah sort of sucks for prey. I find leveling easier in Limsa and even in crowded Gridania. That - or start leve sharing. At level 8 you should be able to duo harder stuff. Party up. That is my other suggestion. Puks are plentiful in limsa and 2 level 7/8s can easily duo them
