With the crafting given more importance in FFXIV and the gathering of materials because of it I think is a good idea to have a clear idea of who can Harvest and craft what.
I would ask any people interested in joining the Besaid server to add their name and rank on the DoH/DoL appropriate so DoW/DoM can find people to craft their equipment and DoH to find their materials.
I will try to update it as much as possible but another possibility would be for people to copy past the previous post so the last post would always have the most updated information (even if i'm offline for a long time). Due to changes in ranks and such I would people to only update their information every 5 ranks so this thread doesn't get unmanagable!

I think this website is a great idea but having already comited myself to another LS (which I haven't played with yet), I'm just not sure of how much time I will have to spend on different LSs. I remember in FFXI having a Ls for Social, one for Dynamis and one for Sky. I want to see how FFXIV will also adapt to this circumstances and if crafting will be a good enough reason to change the active pearl.
In regards to this actual post I think I did it before Gadhelyn mentioned his LS and to be honest if most people are like me, they will restrict their game recourses to a couple websites only. As such it'll probably be easier for players in Besaid to just check this thread than go to a diferent forum altoghether.
I wish Gadhelyn all the success but this is just me previous experience.
Well, just to clarify the timing, I had started this a few weeks ago before server forums were brought up, it just wasn't moved to the server forum like the others.
And there is no requirement to spend any time on the linkshell at all. The only thing we ask is to keep your member profile updated with ranks, post your retainer location and name, and be able to be contact by people for synth requests.

While Gad's already made the point that you don't have to have a linkpearl to be on the Consortium website, I would like to remind people that you will be able to join up to eight linkshells.

To be honest I wasn't aware that you could "join" the consortium without actually being part of the LS.
My reason to state that I was another LS wan't because I didn't know you can have multiples, was more to do with being in a new LS I want to actually meet and know the people on that (RP)LS and start RPing as this will be my new target for FFXIV.
