Macro Question (rings/wrists)Follow

I've made macros to unequip all armor for repairment ease, but for the macro I built to reequip everything I'm having problems with the rings/wrists.

When I try and do the below it states my ring is already equipped when I try to equip more than one of the same ring. I'm assuming it's only picking up the first ring in my inventory, but not the second, third, etc. Anyone know how to cycle to the second ring in my inventory?

/equip L.ring "ring" (equips fine)
/equip R.ring "ring" (get the error here)
/equip L.index "ring" (another error)
etc.

Thank you in advance.

Bringing this back up to see if anyone has figuered this out yet.

Another macro question, when your main bar is full of spells, abilities, is there a macro function that will equip spells in your second line of abilities? I'm out of space in my first row.

Haven't tried it myself, but perhaps you have to literally state /equip Left ring "ring" will play around with it perhaps when i get back on. So far all the macros have been fairly similar to ffxi's in format. Its a good question, one i am not too worried about during OB but when the game goes live I will probably worry more about switching gear.

1-10 First Line of abilities
11-20 Second Line
21-30 Third Line

so its the same /eaction number "Ability Name"

Sorry, I'm getting too irritated at my gearing having to be repaired every ten minutes to put on any extra gear.

/equip ring
/equip wrist
/equip ring
/equip wrist

If they have same name try that. FFXI had a problem like that that was fixed that way. As for the + items I don't know. I havent got a +1 to test with.

I just had the same issue and I solved it.

Basically lets say for example you have a copper ring+1 and you want to equip it on your left ring slot.

So all you would have to do is type /equip L.ring "Copper Ring" and that would equip that Copper Ring +1.

Really dumb I know but that is how it works, I'm now trying to figure out how to actually equip multiple items of the same name in different slots. Rings for instance, so lets say you have four(4) copper rings, an you want to equip them on all your ring slots. Once you use the macro from my prior example /equip L.ring "Copper Ring" you will not be able to use /equip R.ring "Copper Ring" because that ring is already equipped and they all share the same name.

Let me know if anyone figured this out, and I hope my post helped someone.

Currently not an option. SE is working on it as per the Known Issues posting on Loadstone

The macro searches trough inventory for the first instance matching the item name and stops attempting to perform the action with that item. Since it's already equipped it stops.

If you could figure out a way to move items to the bazaar you could macro it.
Put same name items in bazaar, remove from bazaar one at a time and equip. Sadly it's just faster to do manually and i seriously doubt bazaar macro functionality... but I've been wrong before.

just a thought here, but it might be a wait issuse like in ff 11 try

/equip left ring finger [item]
/wait 1~10(based on your processor)
/equip right ring finger [item]

note: you can use the TAB button to just use the auto translator :) happy hunting.
