So, I got KO'd about 5 days ago and have no idea how to revive myself. It's probably obvious but I seriously cannot figure it out.

It's not obvious, but it's been posted about a dozen times already. Go to your menu and use Return.

And still we're shown by new players the lack of instructions available in the game..

Actually, it is in the game, if you bother reading The Call of Adventure at the Aetheryte. Chapter 3, Section V - Defeat.

Oi, you got me there. Last read that in CB3 so I've forgotten what it included. Then again, most newcomers seem to not even know that tome exists at all.

Though I meant it more as the game having no "you're dead, do _____ to resurrect" window after dying. I expect there to be one in retail though, like FFXI. ..I hope.

I think a lot of people think it is lore, as for myself I thought it was. So I skipped it. (because I didn't wanna ruin FFXIV for me on release) I can't say that "The Call of Adventure" shouts out "HI IM A MANUAL".

I did know how to resurrect because of Rocslock's video's (Awesome guy who wants to help the "newbie" in FFXIV).

I expect the return window will pop up at release as this has been a common complaint.

It would be helpful if the main quest guy required that you at least open up the Call of Adveture on your first trip to the Aetheryte.

Awesome idea.

Im gonna give the poster the benefit of the doubt and assume they were playing and died. Shut game off. Came back 5 days later and logged in to find their char still making snow angels. Said WTF! and posted it looking for help.

haha thanks a lot guys, I can't believe I didn't try that. I did some google searches and every search I tried yielded no results, so I assumed maybe my game was glitching or something. I'm glad I signed up here and asked.
