Figured we could have a thread where people could post their macro setups. If you tested yours and found great things that work then lets share :) I have a couple, but I'm late for work so I'll post mine when I get home.

Make a Macro that is named "AoE" and type in /aoe as the only command. This allows you to toggle your spells to hit multiple targets (Area of Effect). Works with Cure as well!

Name: AoE
/aoe

Test it out. It will tell you that you are targeting Mutiple Targets, and then hit it again to toggle back to Single Target.

I have my class changing macros written like this.

Conjurer:

/equip "Weathered Cane"
/eaction 2 "Thunder" main
/eaction 3 "Fire" main
/eaction 4 "Tranquility" main
/eaction 5 "Cure" main

In some cases you need to add the word "main" to the end of each /eaction to tell it what hand does the ability. For some classes this is not necessary.

Fish:

/equip main "Weathered Fishing Rod"
/equip sub "Bronze Gig"
/equip pack "Bloodworm"
/eaction 2 "Wrist Flick"
/eaction 3 "Gulleye" sub

Notice you have to use the word "sub" for your off-hand, "pack" for arrows or bait.

DoL: Take a look at which of your Class's tools has a higher "scanning" ability on the equipment screen. Make sure to set your scanning ability (Gulleye, Lay of the Land, etc.) to that hand, usually the sub.

Goodluck everyone!

I want to know what the command is to USE an action. I forgot from FFXI. I thought it was /a "Action Name" <t> or something but it wouldn't fit on the line. Right now I'm macro stupid.

The marco system seems to be setting gear and stats. Not surewhat you mean by using action.

The above post shows you how to set macros. Go to the menue screen and pick Config. then go to macros. When you set comands just make sure you type it in exactly hows it spelled and use capitals wheir they are used.

Example:

/equip main "Hora Clora"
/eaction 2 "Light Strike"
/eaction 3 "Lightfoot"
/eaction 4 "Name Of Action"
/eaction 5 "ect..."

You can also equip Gear.

/equip head "Head Gear"
/equip body "Body Armor"
All you need is t do the /equip then name of what body part then name of armor piece make sure you use the quotes like above also. I find this very usefull when changing jobs. It wont take you hour to reset all your action and gear..lol

Looks like mine, only I don't have a bronze gig yet (hence having Gulleye in main hand), and I added Dowse to slot 4.

Lancer (currently rank 5):

/equip main "Weathered Spear"
/eaction 2 "Heavy Thrust"
/eaction 3 Skewer
/eaction 4 Ferocity

The /aoe thing is what I was going to share about. I didn't think someone was going to post that lol. Though someone said the z key does it too. I didn't know about that

If memory serves:

/ac "Cure" main <me>

For self-targeted effects.

An then:

/ac "Fire" main <t>

for Offensive abilities.
