Well, so much for my being able to duo with my wife tonight for the first time (had to get the other PC capable of running the game). >.> Presumably there's something important they're doing since it's an odd time for maintenance (usually it seems to be overnight in Japan and more like midday here).

That's okay, the feeling is mutual. Americans hate SE now too.

Actually, I think it is so that the servers are coming back up at about the time a lot of people are getting home from work/school in Japan, where the servers are, and where the game is made. I seriously doubt they are trying to neglect anyone else. Someone misses out somewhere no matter what time is chosen, so they just choose a time that matches their own location well.

I'm always happy to see more maintenance being done, no complaints here. During the laggiest time of day anyway.

Makes little difference to me. I tend to find myself logged out of game anyhow due to lack of things to do. This game is just a distraction until Diablo III is released anyhow. :D

(i played fxi for like a month then quit due to boredom)

1 thing that always wierded me out was that apparently SE has no international servers? Wtf is up with that? There's no reason to put players into the same servers who don't even speak the same language unless you incorporate an in-game translator. (Like zomg what if a MMO used google translator, or a program like it, so that everyone spoke the same language, or at least close enough to understand each other, what an idea! But so far no MMO has as far as i know)

Because no one's working at those hours?

And I was looking forward to doing some more crafting and exploring tonight! Was going to try to get to LL for the first time. Guess that'll be this weekend!
