So how does this work? I see that you can set the location, leve, what class you want and stuf.. But i don't actually understand HOW you recruit people? Do you just have to sit in this menu until someone joins? If so that is extremely annoying.

And as I was asking the other day, I did a level 20 battle leve today, and got 800 gladiator guild marks from a single one!

So I guess that the blacksmithing / armoursmithing ones will be when you reach level 20 and higher to get the training

Sorry no clue how it works I tried the search and the recruit and didn't get anyone on either. Yet I also been trying shouting and not getting anyone that way either. Would be nice to find some people to xp with though since it's starting to get a bit tough to solo. I tried a few different greens and got owned.

I posted on Besaid server if any is looking to join up.

Yep same with me.. everyone seems so **** ignorant on this game.. very rare you'll see someone reply to what your saying, i even shouted in the middle of Uld'ah giving away 10k and it took about 10mintes before someone replied.

Blues are the lowest con, maybe solo on them instead?

By setting up stuff in the Party section and "publish" them after you're done you're making other people looking at that same sction that someone is looking for members.

Think like FFXI, but turn it around (You see the people looking for members instead the people looking for party).

The "Why" it doesn't work is that I've seen one other people (other than me) use it on my server. People get groups by other means, mostly by talking to each other at Aetherytes or in Linkshell chat.

I'd say this function will have more fans at release as people will be looking to level quicker than to try, test and solo everything in game.

Or everyone can start using it and look at it. That works too.

blue also only give 25-100 skill xp and 100 is if you get lucky. Some of them I can kill and not get any skill xp those ones tend to only give about 50 phy xp. And no I wasn't at the surplus.

This is my understanding of the system.

You have two options "Recruit" and "Search".

One thing to make very clear "Search" does NOT equal LFG. Instead "Search" is there for you to search for parties (in some cases only a single party leader). That's why in the drop down menu the only classes available for you to select are the ones you have available to use(the ones that you posses the weapon for). If there is a party(or single leader) that matches your "search" criteria you will have the option to join their party.

"Recruit", on the other hand, is there for someone willing to start a party. You have the option of selecting the classes you seek and their rank range amongst other options. Once posted, A player who searches, and whose "search" criteria matches your "recruit" criteria, will be able to see your posting and be able to join your party.

All in all this means you have to be pro-active when looking for a party. You either have to start one yourself or look for a party that's already recruiting. There is no flagging LFG and waiting for an invite anymore.

I hope this is clear and I haven't made many mistakes, since I usually use the "recruit" option far more often because there isn't many people recruiting when I search.

Thanks for the clarification, I was freaked out trying to "look for members" on the search option and discovering that I could search only for people with the same job as me (or so I believed), but now I understand how the system works.

It sounds good, the downside is that now the leader can't select people based on his search comment, on the bright side people can now select what type of leader they want for their parties.

Yeah but I don't see no "Publish" or "Start searching" Button after i've filled in my criteria..

The only thing I can do is cancel it..
