Hey everyone! =) i got a new graphics card today...(been building my computer piece by piece to get this game to run well, and ive got it to run decent so far... im running:
AMD Phenom II 945 (3.0 ghz quad core)
8 Gigs of DDR3
and i just got an ATI Radeon ASUS 4870 today (upgraded from a 5450)

Now, on maxxed settings im getting 45-60 fps generally everywhere, but when i am walking i notice some severe screen tearing...i searched for a Vsync to fix this issue but i could not find one in the config. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where it is, or how i can set it so it will automatically enable Vsync. thanks =)

If you are getting noticeable screen tearing, I am going to assume you are on an LCD monitor? ATI should have a control panel that allows you to change global or application specific 3d settings. I know you can get to the nVidia control panel by right clicking the desktop. Once you find it, force vsync to always be on.

Ahhhh ok i found it, the Catalyst Control Center (CCC) and i switchs "Wait for monitor refresh" to "Always On", however i tested a game (Battlefield 2) and fraps was telling me i was getting 100 fps... now, my monitor is an old LCD monitor w/ 60hz refresh...i dont think i did it right haha...thanks a lot though, +1 for you (not that i know what that means, i just see people saying that on other new to zam hehe)

I have the horizontal tearing issue as well. I'm using a Nvidia GTX 470 on a 52" LCD which is limited to 60hz. I've chosen the 'Force Vsync On" option in the Nvidia control panel (latest drivers), but I am still getting the tearing. Hopefully I can find a way to fix this in the future.
