Has anyone confirmed the gil bonuses for choosing higher difficulty levels on Guildleves?

Every time I try to do a little research I ended up disconnecting and failing the leve.

Doing a leve on Legion difficulty, I got I think ~30% more gil. No better item reward, just more gil. It did equate to more xp, but only because the monsters are higher level (if still only 2-4 hits to kill them). The problem of course being they seem to hit much harder, as well. I died 4 times before I succeeded, whereas I'd never died on a leve before.

In other words, not worth it, really, at least not soloing. If you have even a group of two, hit Legion. You'll succeed on the leves currently available, and get more for it.

You get more exp from the mobs because they are higher level. You get more gil at the end and it will be under the "Difficulty Bonus" or something.

Onrelated Note: I'd like to add that I did trade in a few guildleves and the completed ones had a *# (star then a number) beside them. Some had *0 and some had *1. I don't know if this is related to the base difficulty of the leve or if raising the difficulty when you start it has an effect. My assumption is that the higher the number the more it raises the reward for the leve you trade them for.

Anyone confirm?

Yeah those trade-ins with at least 1 star definitely help. The worst result I got was a gil increase, but 1 actually added an item reward that wasn't there before and another time I believe I got the reward item upgraded to a better one.

There seems to be a direct correlation. And according to the UI it could even improve your item reward. And no, raising the difficulty when completing it doesn't seem to affect the stars when you exchange it. I've only ever seen 1 or 0 stars, and I've done leves on all the difficulties. I believe I've only ever seen 1 star on leves that gave an item reward, too.

if you read the leve explanation from the npcs they say something about the type of leve you trade in effecting other types of leves. The stars are not because of challenge they are because of leve type synergy.

(not to be confused with the actual stars when selecting group size at the outset of a leve.)
