Hi, I have been trying to start final fantasy xiv for about 5 hours now, nothing works, i searched on plenty of forums, tried all their solutions, even the one where they taught how to run ffxivboot.exe on affinity 1, but all did not work, can anyone give a solution? Can you please provide the specs on your computer?

Yeah, we'll need the specs on your computer. And are you sure it's not the video card? Because I got the same crash when trying to run the client (for grins) with a 7600GT. 0xc0000005 is a memory access violation, so I figure that it's possible the lack of VRAM meant the client was trying to write something outside its allowed space (because it assumed it had 512MB but only had 256 or so). And the issue went away when I used a card that meets the requirements, so for me it was definitely the video card.

Not saying it's definitely the video card, it's just a possibility unless you have a reason for saying it's not. ^^

Alright my specs are:
Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
Asus A8JP
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T5500@1.66GHz
2048MB RAM
ATI mobility Radeon x1450

Anything I'm missing out?

Sorry for the double post but I forgot to add that I updated my graphics drivers and programs to the latest versions.

Laptops get more complicated in the video RAM area (because so many can share system RAM), but it's indeed possible that's the root cause. There's no official requirements that include integrated video that I know of, but I would expect the X1450 to be well below them in any case since the X series is rather old. >.< Have you tried running the benchmark? I could run the benchmark on the 7600GT (though the computer only scored a 300 or something similarly horrific) but not the client. But if you can run the benchmark it should show whether your laptop would be even capable of running the game at all (assuming the crash was resolved). My guess is you'll get a pitiful score like I'd seen.

I don't have the benchmark because all i have is what the installer gave (the 112MB installer content), the game won't even allow me to access anything.

The benchmark is a separate download: http://www.finalfantasyxiv.com/media/benchmark/na/

I can run the benchmark properly, the framerate is low but run-able, the thing is specs should not be a factor according to some people because they have WAY better specs than me but having the same problem as well.

Like I said, benchmark ran for me with a video card that wasn't anywhere near the minimums required, too. Mostly it was a way to see if your laptop would have any chance of running the actual game if you were able to get past the crash. (If you got a 500 on the benchmark, for example, then there'd be no point in worrying about the crash because you'd get in game and not be able to do anything.)

Access violations are the most common exception you'll run into, so it's not really possible to say that just because people might run into the issue with specs that meet the recommended setup, even, that it must apply to your case as well (it very well might, but it's not really something you can assume).
