Hey everyone,

I'm very pleased to announce that ZAM has opened up forum searching to non-premium members. It's a basic forum search that you do with the search box at the top of every forum right next to your forum settings. You can only search the forum you are currently in and it will only search the subject and content of all posts. It will not let you narrow down by date. Still, I know ZAM members have been asking for a search for a long time now, so I hope this makes you as happy as it makes me!

It's about time, though maybe as an incentive to us Premium types you could make for easy picture posting like most forums ~.^

Yay, finally! I got tired of seeing someone post something they think is a new novel idea, when someone else posted it a couple of weeks or a month ago and there was already a long detailed discussion about it! I was also always afraid I would do the same thing!

I was wondering why this was a premium only feature when it would benefit everyone by reducing redundant topics if all account types were allowed to search.

Thank you. This move is welcomed. I've wished I could search the forums maybe five times since I started using this site in early '05 I think it was. Every time I realized I didn't have forum search I just went to google instead anyway. It was rather troubling and didn't always make things easy to find.

Like, finding my story post that was an entry into the thread to win a copy of AoC and a free trial. Something about a galka and my elvaan squishing a taru into oblivion.

Try doing a force refresh (ctrl+f5 on most browsers) to clear any lingering zam from your cache

Huzzah!

Always seemed a bit weird not having it, as it forced the premium to have to sift through all the duplicate posts along with the rest of us.

Wow, yeah Zam really needed this because it drastically reduces repeat posts. I was actually thinking about posting a thread petitioning Zam to open up the search option. I was getting tired of seeing the same repeat questions over and over lol.

Finally! This is especially useful as no one will be around to answer technical questions as often because we'll be killing mobs and making sublingars and whatnot. I do wish i would have known about this before i went premium though, search was like 75% of the reason i got that >.>

Use the search box in the forum header, next to filter settings, where it says 'search this forum', not the forum search link.
