No, I'm not talking about the community for once. I'm talking about the game content. XD I finally got some decent play time in today and WOW this game is RAUNCHY!!!

So I thought I'd start a thread having people post funny "mature" parts of the game that they've encountered so far.

My two examples are...

In a cutscene in the Ul'dah storyline, the little Lalafell girl tells you to contact her if you're comparing manhoods.

And one of the NPCs on the streets of Ul'dah is basically a ******* hooker. She says something along the lines of "You're going to the festivities all alone? I can take your arm if you'd like, and much more. You deserve a proper welcome, being the fair lady that you are. I can please you as well as any man. Pitty you don't seem to have the coin for it though."

Any other good finds? go!

The graphical effects of this attack solidify the naughty even more. It's terrible in a deliciously hilarious way.

Pretty much the Miner Guild's entirety.

Oh, and of course the awkward cut scene between the young Hyur female and the old Elezen male... :s

I went to the blacksmith's guild in Limsa Lominsa and one of the guys behind the desk was telling me something about children playing. He then went on to say something along the lines of "We could play, too, if you'd like. But let me warm up my poker first."

Had another NPC in Limsa tell me how a Marauder's axe could cut through a pack of mobs "like **** through snow." Loved that one, too!

I could've sworn I saw a mob named "[something] Nutbiter".

I realize that's more of my own immaturity than anything.

I personally like the gritty language and innuendo. It gives the game real personality.

On the second floor of limsa, near the culinary guild or whatever is an "angry pirate". If you go up and talk to him, he will shout out at you and then say "bring me a second wench."

Still nothing compared to age of conan though. You could unequip everything on a girl toon and show your nipples to the world and your g-string to everyone else.

Aside from the other Ul'dah stuff already mentioned, there is a woman when you first get into the game that is called Gil-digging Mistress.

The goldsmithing guild in Ul'dah had something pretty suggestive too. Some npc offering services like polishing family jewels. o_o

im very glad they took this game in a more mature light.
idk, cutesy themes and sunday school speech within linkshells and NPCs actually sparks a small bit of anger in me.

Traditional MMO NPC behavior, and my reactions:

"Hi I'm Mary Princess Lolipop Butterscotch Sunshine and I think you're keen!"
"Where's the 'replace NPC spine with giant sword' button?"

"You're an idiot and I hate you because I'm better than you because I say so so pfft!"
"If you're so much better than me, why don't YOU go kill 600 spiders in order to get 8 spider legs?"

"Oh hero, you must save our village! Our guards are being overrun by raids and we won't hold out much longer!"
"Raids? I see your guards right there. They're 40 levels higher than me. And there are no raids. The only monsters around here, those guards could SNEEZE and kill."

"I'm the obligatory hermit of this game. I will send you on horribly long quests involving tons of running for a reward that is either game-breakingly overpowered until the next patch or useless, but required to continue the storyline. Enjoy"
"So...how do you make a silver orb from 13 rat tails, 6 orc bladders, the eye of a dragon and 300 hours I could've been doing something else?"

More on-topic, I'm relieved to see something other than cookie-cutter crap developers have been hurling at us for years. Not everyone has the mouth or vocabulary of a 10 year old. The ******* thing is a little bit of a cop out, but at least it feels like the adults ARE adults in this game.

It's an NPC in that guild that's inside a ship (down by the fishing guild). Cant remember what it's called. Bit if I remember right it's a Miqo'te immediately to the right when you entire the ship. Come to think of it, that might be the Marauder's guild... Would make sense, lol.

Hoping at launch certain anatomy moves realistically, if it doesn't already.

Speak with Georjeaux at the Archer's Guild in Gridania. He says "Have you come to take up the bow as well? We Elezen are unmatched at the butts. Prowess with the bow is mind over matter, friend. Remember that."

Miner's Guild in Ul'dah has a drunk Roegadyn that tells female players to "take it off" for 10,000 gil. He goes on to say he bets you'll take it all off then laughs. An Elezen female hiding behind a folding screen in the guild there also goes to accuse you of thinking perverse thoughts and staring where you shouldn't. Oddly she accuses this regardless of gender and even says (if female) you're as bad as the men. So yea, FFXIV definitely isn't deemed for kiddies and has more mature stuff in it than FFXI did. Personally I like it.

I would like to see a screenshot later in the game of some dude with 1mil+ gil getting this scripted speech.

Overpriced hookers are overpriced.

I feel like they over did some of the "mature" features to the point some of it feels a bit childish and out of place. Dragon age is an example of a game where it fits the setting. FF14 it just feels like some bored horny guy at SE just threw stuff in.

So does this mean we can sexually harass other players, or is it only SE who's allowed to do that? *Shifty eyes.*

On the Ul'dah quest line if you talk with Momodi via de linkshell pearl after the scort quest but before going to see the girl's father she said something like this about F'lhaminn(The new Aeris-miqo'te):

"I believe F'lhaminn is about to end her turn, you should show yourself around the gild and let her show her... thanks to you"

Lies!, I went there but the feline didn't even show herself up!
