I have been trying to make it undyed this whole time. someone mentioned I needed to use the dyed cloth. maybe a bug or i dunno. The one I linked will make the normal undyed version. The one Zalim linked will make a beige piece. Basically the recipe is the same, you're just altering the color based on what type of cloth you choose to use.

Has this recipe been personally confirmed by anyone and not just found via web search or a "friend of a friend"? I tried both recipe links approx. 10 min prior to this post (as given and with all variations of mats possible in addition to the full range of buffs from unbuffed to Master's Clothstation) with the universal result of no recipes possible for the ingredients used. Any info about a personal success making this and full process of making it (type of tool and buff if any used) would be fantastic as so far these recipes seem incomplete/busted/etc.

I cannot say, though I can say ZAM won't post things without proof, such as they are given as rewards for local leves, or are the objective of said leve.

Are you getting any sort of system message in your chat log when trying? If you are far enough below a recipe's optimal rank, it will not allow you to attempt.

The system message I receive is "You cannot make anything with those materials."
This is displayed after loading the mats into the Materials window and pressing either Main Hand or Off Hand.

The interface does not go thru the subsequent windows of selecting a recipe and crystals where the message attributed to insufficient crafting rank would appear.

Thanks for the quick reply, and the quality of posts is one of the things I love about ZAM.
This recipe is a personal issue for me, as I posted it on a different site a couple days ago and was burned down in flames after others reported it not working.

Right, this is my same problem. I have been trying this recipie and altering it in many ways to figure it out. These recipies are inccorect. at least with undyed materials :((
Not a lack of skill message. a nothing can be made with these materials message.

Most all the websites I have check have this same recipie copied form oteghr sites but doesn't work. booo

Will keeep searching and figure it out. then let ya know! :)

I've come to the conclusion that some recipes exist within the game but you are unable to make them in the Beta for whatever reason. Perhaps they are not releasing the lot of them until the retail version is live. I've run into a few other recipes with a similar roadblock.

That message you received means you're too low. For example: last night I was attempting to make a Brass Spear Clasp. It's a Rank 10 Blacksmithing recipe and I am Rank 1. The recipe is a single Brass Plate, as supported byt multiple sites, but I was getting the same message as you.

I'll level my Blacksmith some today just to ensure this is accurate, but I know I've had it happen before. SE needs to consider adding a "rank too low" message, or we're experiencing a bug in what message we're recieving.

And glad you're enjoying ZAM ^^. I can say from my time on the XI side of things is it generally is one of the better communities.

They do have this. It will tell you that your skill is too low for the synthesis. My friend ran into that message last night attempting to make Dodo Leather on his level 1 Leather-craft. I have been attempting level 10 crafts on my lv. 1 carpenter for awhile. It will allow you to do them but you usually just break all the attempts (The maple plank synthesis was what I tried.) I am not sure why the materials are not working for you. I know it requires 2 brass buckles. At first I confused them with Bronze Buckles when my friend tried it before. We are actually going to attempt this synthesis tonight once he logs on.

Thanks much all for the replies and the overall helpful attitude of these forums. It does a soul good to see (^.^) .

My Weaver is currently Rank 9, so I'll push to get 10 and see what happens.

If anyone is on the Bodhum server and needs Brass Buckles for testing, let me know.

Doesn't seem to be the correct materials. We are anxiously attempting different yields of items.
