There has been a lot of 'feedback' given by XIV beta testers thus far. Some suggestions, if added, will greatly improve the XIV experience IMO (examples: adding an AH at launch, tweaking or redoing the UI, etc.).

Has SE given any indication of changes coming to the retail based on this feedback thus far? Or are we still waiting to see?

SE has confirmed a search function for the bazaar. Maybe not at launch, but soon. Which makes it very similar to an AH. As for the rest, I can't say.

As far as my knowledge, nothing confirmed, just hopes... lots of hopes...

Seeing tons of SE confirmed this.... or that, but never any links to the confirmation.

Regarding auctionhouses:

Regarding Final Fantasy XIV and the market battle system is something we would like to consider the equilevent to the auction house we had in Final Fantasy XI. Only that you'll also be able to fix your equipment and things like that. It is something we really want people to enjoy. Also after the release of the game we will see how it goes and for example find out what kind of search options players will want and need and improve the situation. We don't really want to introduce the auctionhouse from the beginning because that is going to determine the economy system. So we want to improve it slowly and adjust it accordingly.

That's as much as SE has confirmed about an auction house, from what I've seen. Which is probably less than what people are hoping for, but more real than what people are expecting when someone says "SE has confirmed auction houses."
