Lotus INC. Recruitment - Wutai Server (was game=268)Follow

#1 Sep 12 2010 at 1:32 PM Rating: Sub-Default
# About Us:

Lotus is a social Linkshell/endgame Company that will reside on the Wutai server in Final Fantasy XIV. We are comprised of veterans from other MMO’s (mainly FFXI) and talented newcomers alike and boast a mature and intelligent membership with the majority of our members being college students and working professionals. We have a modest raid schedule compared to many high-end guilds/linkshells/companies, roughly 20-24 hours per week during progression and when content has been completed we raid dramatically less than that. Our mantra in Lotus is to "raid smarter, not harder." We constantly strive to maximize our time and raid as efficiently as possible

# Qualities we look for in players:

Teamwork - First and foremost, we are a team at Lotus. We want players who can function in a group, communicate effectively, and execute a given role.

Analytical - We greatly value players who consistently look for ways to contribute to overall raid optimization and strategy. Analyzing your own performance and striving for constant improvement is a must.

Competitive - We want players who seek to be the best at their class and role. We aren't interested in meter chasers who put their own performance over the good of the raid but we do want people who bring friendly competition into our guild and will challenge our current raiders at their roles.

Awareness - We look for players who know how to adapt and react to their surroundings while still playing near peak performance. Dodging black holes of death is a must!

Dedication and reliability - show up consistently and on time

Social - We want people who are interested in participating in guild activities outside of raids. If you are only logging in for raids and logging off as soon they end, we may not be the home for you.

# Applicant requirements:

* A stable internet connection and a computer decent enough to not lock up or lag consistently
* The ability to listen and respond on Ventrillo
* Minimum raid attendance is 75%
* Players who can accept constructive criticism and who are dedicated to constantly improving their performance

# What we have to offer:

* A multi-timezone Linkshell/Company, that will have a Alpha and Beta teams for EST, and CST team, and a PST team as well.
* A tight roster of dedicated players who show up to raids prepared and ready to progress
* A fun raid environment that's fairly laid back and casual while still pushing content.
* A stable, fun and welcoming guild atmosphere; we are drama free and personable - most of our members are university students or young working professionals
* A fair attendance based loot system that awards gear based on getting progress. We don't play favorites, period.
* An active group of players who sign on for groups and general fun outside of raids
* Competitive progression with an extremely light raid schedule
* A focused and efficient raid environment
* An active leadership who is open to suggestion

See signature. You like kittens don't you? Everyone likes kittens.

To be more relevant this should probably be posted in the Wutai server forum.

In this game. Linskhells. Guilds are places that are of a disciples location/shop.

It pains me to see these generalizations in this game from so-called "professional" guilds. New people on the forums will get confused with these descriptions from other MMOs. If your from another MMO, please describe things in the game as they are described in the game.

Guilds: Shops for disciples of War, Magic, Hand, and Land.
Disciples: Generalization would be a job, or class such as Gladiator, Conjurer, Botanist, Clothcrafter.
Linkshell: Currently a social group used to talk to others with same said linkshell equipped.
Company: Generalization would probably be a guild from other MMOs. Currently we do not know exactly what companies will entail.
#11REDACTED, Posted: Sep 12 2010 at 2:16 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Woops looks like i did miss a guild, We are far from WoW players (I ran FFXI Linkshell for 7 years)(WoW Guild for 3). And yes already talking about attendance, because even though there are no endgame per say we will be having events for story line BGs etc. Also SE has hinted at the endgame, it will be max 15 players, and will be done through the guildleve system. Whether that means that each person needs to activate the same leve or one person sponsors it that is still unknown. Whats this information is known our event schedule will be determined. Also they have said that first release "endgame" will be spent on AF equipment, yet another thing we will have events for. Also i re-read my images for WoW terms yall jumped on, seriously post been up for 1 hr and already flames..... Gonna be a pain reloading images, but if it will calm yall down all the better.
#12REDACTED, Posted: Sep 12 2010 at 2:21 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Heh so many forums being monitored forgot it was Zam that doesn't allow attachments (Unless you pay *FTL*)... Edited post fixing the generic terms that were used, hopefully people can take a deep breathe.

Spent sometime looking over the general rules and some of the applications. There was mention of Precision Strike, so not sure if this was a previous guild, or perhaps a format borrowed from Precision Strike. But it is indeed linkshells in FFXIV. (Not trying to flame, but rather help you with some editing, since you guys are so tough on those filling out applications correctly, thought it might do well to extend the same to you all in your forums =).

Wish you guys luck in your search for members, but what an application process for a game that is just a few days old. I had to take a drink of ale =)!

You could ban together and raid the Dodos until the AF gear end-game releases!
