In the forums.. (ya you didn't see that coming did you? :P).

Seems like with all the fussing you're either a fanboy or a troll these days. Anyone else getting kind of bored with all the craziness going on around here lately? I know, I know, a post whining about the whiners, but I just felt like getting this off my chest.

I'm by no means a blind believer in the success of FFXIV. The game obviously has its flaws, and I appreciate people posting about it. But is it possible to keep it a little more constructive? Or perhaps to even post it in the feedback forum that SE (allegedly) reads? Whether it gets ignored by SE or not, at least all the feedback (negative and positive) would be in the appropriate place should a miracle happen and SE actually does swing by to see what people are saying.

That is all.

As time for retail gets closer and closer posters from both sides of the fence are trying to preach their gospil.I think for the most part strong emotion from either side actually means they care a lot about how the game does and thats good overall.

Very true. I keep trying to remind myself of this constantly as I read the threads on the message board lately.

My grief isn't about people posting their point of view.

My grief is the same point of view being posted on multiple different threads whcih altough might have been started by different posters will eventually be filled by the same people saying the same thing over and over again.

What can we say. Some people are passionate.

Nice play on the title... I did enjoy lurking in the forums before OB started. And yeah, as the OP has put it, you are either a troll or a fanboy. There is apparently no grounds anymore for us middle people.

How many "I don't like the negative threads!" threads have we had?

Sure there is, just stay out of it, which is why I haven't even bothered posting one way or the other in a lot of the fanboy and troll threads. General discussion here has become absolutely awful and its going to get worse each day closer to release. I see the problems with the game, I don't deny that they are there and I still like it and still plan on buying it nonetheless, no one is changing my mind. I say just stay out of the mess nearly every thread has become whether you do or don't like the game.

See, I didn't specify whether they were "I hate the game" or "I love the game", both are boring me to no end... just I don't have much else to do at work (no calls coming in, I work in customer support) but read the same posts over and over again!

That is true. But ironically, it is only at this time I decided to post because I see people that are trying to be reasonable are getting attacked just because they have been generalized into one of the two sides. :P

Bad for me, I guess. :)

Not liking game = Troll
Liking game = Fanboy

Therefor I have deduced that everyone in this forums either has an invalid opinion, because trolls and fanboys aren't people, or simply no opinion at all!

What I see a lot is people creating threads with topics like "Difficulty with Blacksmithing"(example).

Basically asking questions and how to understand the class and such. Only for trolls to come in and hi-jack the topic on how bad the u/i, crafting system and market wards are. The thread is completely derailed from it's topic.

Thats what errks me the most. I just hope most of those people end up dying in a fire. But thats just a pipe dream.

edit: Just to note. I have no issues with anyone that doesn't like the game. Just with people who can't post those opinions in the proper threads.

People need to start using the report feature when their threads are being de-railed by the trolls instead of continuing to feed them.
