A few things to consider for DD:
Lancer: Weapon has highest Attack, highest Accuracy, high Parry and lowest Critical. Has a skill attack that cost minimal TP and Stamina after the enemy Evade.
Pugilist: Weapon has lowest Attack, High Accuracy, Highest Parry and highest Critical. Has a skill attack that cost minimal TP and Stamina after the Pugilist Evade.
Marauder: Weapon has high Attack, lowest Accuracy, lowest Parry and high Critical. Has a skill attack that cost minimal TP and Stamina after Marauder Parry and despite having lowest Parry out of all three, Marauder has a substantial Parry boost from Steadfast to make up for that.
I would NOT consider cross-classing Second Wind or Bloodbath outside their native class (Pugilist and Marauder). Reason being they cost a large chunk of stamina for minimal return, with 2nd Wind on a Lancer perform at 50% compared to 2nd Wind on a Pugilist, Bloodbath on a Lancer leech 50% hp while Bloodbath on Marauder leech 75% hp. There are skills sold at Guild that improve your respective class skill affinity 10% per level, up to 100%. Aassuming that a Lancer fully equip this skills, can use Pugilist or Marauder skills as good as those class, it's still very costly to purchase and equip these skills, not to mention weapon damage type.
So far, the best cross-class skills I have found for DD is Ferocity and Raging Strike. They cost minimal TP and their penalty seems to be only extra cool down time.
In Beta I have rank 16 Lancer, rank 10 Pugilist, rank 10 Marauder and rank 10 Archer. In release I will stick to Lancer and Archer with a Sunseeker Miqo'te.
