Not sure if this is old news or not - but I came across this website google-ing around for macro info:

http://www.yetikitn.com/ffxiv/

Site builds the macro commands which you can then cut and paste into FFXIV if you're running in windowed mode.

When it comes to sitting around not doing anything for long periods of time, only being active for short windows, and marginal changes and sidegrades I'd say FFXI players were the perfect choice for politicians.

Good find! Thanks a lot.

One question: So it seems like you actually have to type out the names of equipments and abilities individually, with quotation marks? Will the auto-translated names not work in a macro? Because I did that for equipments and nothing worked, yet some of the abilities did load while some didn't...very weird.

If it's anything like XI then yes, you will need to use " " around any name that is more than one word. Ie "Burning Lotus". I have yet to experiment with the macro system though but this seems to be the most probable explanation to your problem.

' ' also worked in XI, not sure if that changed but safer to use " " in case of the rare occasion where ' is used in the name such as 's

I wish I could get parties of that standard. Sadly I seem to end up playing with myself all the time.
