I know there hasn't been something said about it yet by SE but what do you guys think? At first thinking about this i was like "They better not pull something like this." But when you really think about it, if the majority of items and such are made by the player base (which i would be happy with) couldn't this really destroy any sort of an economy if we could level all the DoH to the limit?
I know at first it wouldn't because there is no economy and everyone is starting from scratch but eventually (year or 3 down the road) so many people will be self efficient. Not having to rely on anyone else for crafted items. Couldn't this become a problem? Especially with how it is leveled up like other disciples. Seems like leveling up a craft to cap will be 500x easier and faster then in XI.
I was a 100+ fisher, 100+ cook, 97 cloth, and 60 in all but Gsmithing in XI. Would have had a few more if not most of them capped out if i could have. As cool as that would have been, with so many "hardcores" out there like myself i would think this could possibly just make our economy worthless minus a few crafted items. Kind of like how WoW was when i played it at least. No idea if its changed in that game.
Hey to derail my own thread i just thought about how i am lusting over another lu shangs+ ebisu rod quests. I hope SE eventually adds in things like this in some way or another. And do it for all the DoH/DoL jobs. Think the biggest thing i ever accomplished in any MMO was getting my Ebisu Rod. I must have put in 3 months of actual playtime in getting that **** thing. And that is not including the time it took to get to 98ish when i started the quest.
