Things to try before beta is over?Follow

What are a few things to try before the beta is over and deciding upon starting the game when it comes out?

I've done a few handful of various guildleves, different crafting, some gathering, grinding on mobs (lower than level 10). Is there anything I'm missing that I should really try out before it turns into pay to play? I don't want to miss out on the wide range of activities.

I really hope the full version of the game crashes a lot less than the beta has the last few days. I'm interested to see what they've held back from the beta and only implementing for the retail release.

Well, you could mess with the retainer system. There's not much else to do in the game at the moment.

Explore the land, mark the coordinates of hidden camp spots for release... That's what I have been doing in general. :P

Things might be different in retail, but at least I would have some sort of idea if things remain generally the same.

Waste all your Anima and go exploring. It's not like you have to worry about it recharging right?

+1

At first I wasn't using anima because it recharges so slowly, but what's the point in conserving it? Explore! There's quite a lot out there, but it's a long way away from the starter cities.

When it comes to sitting around not doing anything for long periods of time, only being active for short windows, and marginal changes and sidegrades I'd say FFXI players were the perfect choice for politicians.
