Usually, when the servers are down, people would say something... But I've gone back a bunch of pages and nobody has mentioned it. Is there maintenance? I've never been able to log into the beta site, so I'm in the dark if nobody posts these things on a forum.

Yes, there's a maintenance. 20:00 PDT September 14 until 1:00 PDT September 15. I believe that would be a little over three and a half hours left on it.

SE has mastered the art of the time warp, it would appear. While we were condemning them for OB issues, they were busily mastering their ability to fold space. All has become clear now...

LOL! I stared at this for the longest time wondering what I did wrong. It should not have taken me as long as it did. I'm getting old. :(

I don't really mind maintenance, because every hour I spend playing my beta characters is an hour of progress that won't be saved, an hour that I won't get back... But that can't stop me from playing, even so :P Right now, I'm working on a Gladiator to determine if I like it better than Conjurer. Conj is super powerful, but I'm not a real big fan of how the gear looks, so if Glad is as much fun to play, that's where I'll be starting.

I will be very interested to see what they have chanced, unless I'm completely misremembering, this maintainance is about twice as long as the more recent ones. With any luck, we'll see some of those changes they were talking about earlier today.

There really isn't a class I dislike, or a starting city for that matter. I'll still probably main conjurer and start over back to rank20 like I have it now(which sucks), but I may go the slow route and level a bit of every thing @ release.

I personally will probably play every class with just 1 char. Because mix and matching skills is too fun (A conjurer with the marauder defensive stance will be able to take hits better for example, an archer with the gladiator's ability to increase accuracy but reduce evasion will rock as well as the TP regen + slow from lancer will rock)

Leveling every class seems to allow you to utilize what each class needs when you need it.

-In a group as an archer? Who needs evasion? Just up that accuracy!
-Soloing as a mage? Mages don't need attack power! Might as well increase your defense!
etc.etc.

I also found a fun trick, even though Speed Surge can only be used with a lance on, you can use it, then switch to whatever class you want and still have the buff on. Allows archers+marauders to spam attacks without fear of stamina problems as well as gettin a little heal on every attack.

For all the comparisons, that's one thing that =268, =11, and =21 have in common:

You're not allowed to ***** about maintenance.

Where were they this afternoon when I needed my laundry folded? Surely that's loads easier than folding space.

Pun definitely intended.
