Man, reading this makes me so bummed I don't own a PC. That being said. . .

1. Be bitter I don't own a PC on the 22nd. . .
2. Not be bitter as I view forums and realize the nightmare that will be the 22nd (even tho secretly I want to be part of it)
3. Be bitter cause everyone is eventually in and having a rad time
4. Not be bitter cause I caved and build my brand spanking new PC
5. Be bitter cause I have to wait "x" amount of hours to play
6. Not be bitter cause "FFXIV OMG I I AM PLAYING"
7. Be bitter cause I just received credit card bill which payed for new comp and game

1.) Laugh at everyone on release day that took the day-off / week-off or expects to play the game with any sort of stableness or non laggyness.

Considering I was eventually able to log in and play on the night of OB launch, with less server lag than the next days once everyone else had got their keys... I don't think I'll have much problem with a much less populated CE-only launch. Not to mention I won't have go to though the main bottleneck of OB night which was getting a key issued. Compared to that mess of timeout errors, actually logging in wasn't that hard.

If you disagree with that this must be your first MMO that you plan on playing on release.

Since I am poor and can't upgrade the computer, here is what I plan on doing release day.

1. Wake up and try to find a job so I can upgrade my computer.
2. Since I probably won't find a job, go to the sporting goods store and buy a gun.
3. Walk into the computer shop and hold them at gunpoint in order to get the needed computer.
4. Run and jump in getaway car and drive to a Gamestop store to pick up the game.
5. When it is realized I didn't pre-order the collectors edition, I once again pull out the gun and rob the Gamestop dude at gunpoint taking a collectors edition of FFXIV and Halo Reach for good measure.
6. Jump back into the car and decide to rob a fast food joint for munchies.
7. Go to my special hideaway and put the computer together and install the game.
8. Realizing that the cops have found me, I hole up until the game is installed and updated.
9. Create my char. and fight one fight, then realize that I'm a wanted individual and surrender.
10. Go to jail wishing I had not used the gun to get FFXIV.

I'm hopeful for getting the game on Tuesday, as it's been despatched already. If I do, I'll be home from work at 8:30pm-ish, and setting up the accounts then ready for play. Then, it's chinese take out and a bottle of wine, waiting for the servers to go live at 1am Wednesday morning so I can start downloading/getting error messages :D If I don't get it until Wednesday morning though I'm going to race through the housework while I wait for errors/updates and what not to sort themselves out, then my bottle of wine and my chinese :)
Back-up plans incase servers die/are unplayable : warhammer, magic the gathering, and Demons Souls on PS3 (eff me that game is hard)
Then I've got 7 days off work thanks to some clever re-arranging of my shifts (only 3 days of that are holiday!) to sit and rot my brain, turn a horrible unhealthy colour from lack of sun and lose the feeling in my legs from not moving xD

I don't really have much of a plan for the 22nd except go to Gamestop and pick it up, install, patch etc. But I did decide to take thursday off from work, friday I get out early anyway, then I've got the weekend. I thought about taking monday off instead of thursday, to have a continuous work free 3 and a half day weekend. But taking a thursday off doesn't come off quite as bad as a friday or monday.
