Did some testing the other day, and figured I would share my results

I tested a brand new level 5 sea wolf archer

VIT HP Spent HP gain
18 528 0 0
19 542 1 14
20 556 2 14
21 570 3 14
22 585 4 15
23 599 5 14
24 613 6 14
25 628 7 15
26 642 8 14
27 656 9 14
28 670 10 14
29 685 11 15
30 699 12 14
31 713 13 14
32 727 14 14
33 742 15 15
34 756 16 14
35 770 17 14
36 785 18 15
37 785 19 0
38 785 20 0

So, at level 5, I hit cap at 18 points spent, 36 total points in the ability. Not sure what kind of math could be used to get to that point...

After that, I ranked up to phys lvl 6, and archer lvl 5.

I got 1 additional HP from leveling. Then 2 additional stat points were allowed into Vitality. (I re-assigned to get back down to the point where it cut off as part of the last test. So the additional info looks like this:

VIT HP Spent HP gain
36 786 18 1
37 800 19 14
38 814 20 14
39 814 21 0

Not really sure how that works out to how many are unlocked per level. (maybe 1 point for phys level, and 1 for archer, or just 2 unlocked for phys?) <shrug>

Also of note, at point value 40, it requires 2 points allocated to a stat to get 1 stat point on your character.

So, having a pure 100% allocation in a single stat will waste a lot of points.

Anyhow, hopefully this helps people plan their builds out.

cheers,

Verax

thanks for the legwork, I'm sure within a month or so, someone'll post a guide showing where each stat caps for each class/race, but until that happens, I'm definitely gonna use the vit method you showed (presumably works with mind too).

One thing I wonder, is if initial race affects where you cap. like maybe stats don't cap at X attributes per level, but instead y attributes above base per level.
