What I really want from this game is something that I can remember later on. For example, I can vividly remember the swim with sharks competition in my "guild" on anarchy online. And so many good memories from other mmorpgs (btw this is my first message to these forums I think for a long time, so hello everyone, I've been reading your messages here, and that made me to write something here, ok this is too long text to be included inside brackets (those are brackets right? :D lol, anyway I'm from finland.. SO EXCUSE ME!)).
When I started to play with final fantasy xiv open beta, I was little bit disappointed first. However I continued playing and I begin to enjoy this game more and more. Some how it gave me more feelings than what I've usually got from other mmorpgs (e.g. aion, oh man.. 2 months of grinding and I was so tired). It's not fast paced at all. I somehow feel it's for people who takes taker time to do things. I mean when you have to set the mode active and start fighting, it takes time. And sometimes I get very frustrated that I'm poisoned and I'm trying to heal myself, I panic and boom. I'm dead. Because I feel controls are not working fast enough, but hey, its the game. Players have to cope with the game, that is the game. If you can't handle it, well.. It's not my problem :D.
And what I want to say to other players who likes that game has to be something like they've already get used to. I want to say: Try it! Give it a chance. For some reason I like to find ******* treasures when I'm walking around. Oh man was I surprised when I get to loot first visible/invisible(to others) chest!
Then I tried to walk to other places using roads. I noticed how gridania would suite me well when starting the game, because its near of large hunting areas. Then I continued walking the road and I arrived other starting areas.
Ok, enough of story telling.
What I wanted to say is .. this game has surprised me in a mysterious way and I really wish that its going to keep me playing like ffxi did. And I hope that I meet some nice people.
