How to change out/upgrade jewelry?Follow

I'm stumped. I want to upgrade the copper wristlets I'm wearing to the better brass wristlets. However I can't swap them in as the game tells me I've maxed out "you can't wear any more jewelry". I can't unequip what I'm wearing either.

Any ideas?

Also what's the max # of jewelry we can wear? Is there a point system?

Is your inventory full?

I've swapped out jewelry plenty of times so far. Just highlight the jewelry in your attribute/gear window and select what you want to wear in that slot. Don't try to do it straight from your inventory, as that won't work.

Best of luck to ya;)

No my inventory isn't full. And I did try to do it the way you described, I've done that successfully for other armor pieces before. It just didn't work on this jewelry thing because I already maxed out my jewelry points?

But thanks for answering.

Anyone else got any ideas?

If this was implemented in irl it would save men so much money.

Each piece of jewelry has a point value associated with it. There is a maximum total point value of jewelry/accessories that you can wear at any given time. If the piece you're trying to swap in pushes you over that limit, it won't allow you to equip it.

Can't believe I'm doing this, but whatever.

Check the slot cost on the item you want to replace and the item you're trying to equip. If the slot cost on the one you're trying to equip is higher, you're not able to equip it because it will push you over the cap. I don't recall if the cap is 8 or 12 slot cost points.

I want to say it's 12. That's the number that came to mind when I read his question.

Edit: And would make sense as I was able to equip 2 earrings, 2 wristbands, 1 necklace and 1 ring.

Copper Wristlet: Costs 2 Slots
Brass Wristlet: Costs 3 Slots
If you're 12/12, you can't trade a copper for a brass wristlet.

You should be able to unequip them just fine: click the wristlet in your left arm first, then find the copper wristlet in question in your wearable item list, then the unequip button should appear.

Alternatively, you can unequip stuff with macro commands.

Doh, yeah sorry not sure why I didn't see that. Thanks!

I'll try what you suggested Docent42. Much appreciated!
