FFXIV on MAC laptop running Winxp?Follow

Does anyone know if ffxiv will run on a new mac laptop that also runs windows XP? (My stepson is dying to play but thats what he has) I told him i'd ask in the forums, Thanks for any info guys!

No idea, you have to actually post what kind of processor you have, how much RAM you have, and your video card.

If I had to guess, I'd say barely if at all.

does he have a MacBook pro or a MacBook? find out which model - I run it very well windowed on a 2010 27" iMac. does ha have a new model ? which processor? how much ram etc...

Yes, it will.

I have a 2010 MacBook Pro 13" (2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB Ram, nvidia geforce 330m 256mb). I run FFXIV on medium gfx, full-screen, and I have a great fps while playing it and no lag on my end.

I'm not calling you a liar, but I would like to see "great fps" quantified, because a 2.4 ghz dual core processor with a crappy 330m video card is under the minimum requirements for the game.

IDK maybe, think about how low resolution a 13" screen uses. For a 13" MacBook should be 1280x800. Pretty low res.

I have a 15 inch pro with the i7. When i get the release version i will be installing it on my windows 7 partition and repost the results.
