State of the game questions.Follow

Hello all;
I have a couple questions about the state of the game currently. I was playing beta for a while, but stopped due to some issues that made the game unplayable for me. I am curious if any of these issues were fixed/changed in the past month.

1) Mouse/UI Lag. Did they implement a hardware mouse?
2) Performance issues. No matter what my graphic settings were at the game seemed to
stutter to much, even when getting 30+ FPS. Also is the game running better at all?
Maybe I am wrong, but with my rig I assumed I could run this game with all the eye
candy. Specs below.
3) Did they change the menu system at all?
4) Does the mouse have a bigger role now? I was using my wireless 360 controller, but I
hate it, and would much rather use my mouse. Thats why I prefer PC games. Better
control.

I am trying to talk myself into buying this game, as I would love to start a new MMO at release. The issues I listed above make the game unplayable for me though, so any info from people who have played recently would be great. Been coming here for my FFXIV info for a while now, great site. Thank you :)

1) The hardware mouse has been there for months, SE just refuses to allow players to use it.
2) Not really. Might get better by release? SE has said that they want to work on that.
3) No.
4) No. Just use a keyboard for everything.

I'd recommend not playing at release. Give it a month or two for SE to follow through on their promises to fix these issues.

Thank you for the reply :)

That seems silly in regards to the hardware mouse.
I have to use my mouse for the camera and movement. I just use the KB for strafing, and forward/backward. Typing blah blah

I am sure I can figure something out via the logitech software, but I was hoping they would implement something in the game.

1. Not for Open Beta, but they've said that there will be one for the release that is easily available.
2. Not that I'm aware of.
3. No.
4. I wouldn't say a bigger role, but it will probably be easier to use on release (hardware mouse).

1) they officially announced it in a press conference for the retail version of the game including no UI lag.
2) Its optimization, I barely lag and when I do its not noticeable to hinder me but I know some people having problems with this, I would say wait for release to find out.

3) They changed some things people were complaining about but the menus are still nested - don't know if they mentioned or will add hot keys for retail.

4) I played the game with hardware mouse mod that was released a little while back and mouse is very useful for what its intended to do; i.e., target mobs, move camera etc.. you can't walk with the mouse but for its functionality its useful when its hardware and it will be at retail.

Here's a link to a thread highlighting the changes/features they mentioned at their most recent event, in case you hadn't read. It includes the hardware mouse announcement.
