I have tried at least 5 different servers and they were all filled with 95% of the ppl who never talk, never help, and never join guildleves others start. So i was hoping we could decide on a server where most of the people who enjoy the community would go to for official release.
Any suggestions?

I never remember much /say chat in any other MMOs I've played. Everyone usually stuck with linkshell/group chats. Find yourself a good linkshell on release and it should grow with chatter in no time. Smiley: smile

ok, we really need to step off of this "official server for <insert special interest group here>!"

for role-playing PCs it was different, that was a large collection of folks deciding where best to group together people interested in an activity which benefits from a larger population

being an FFXI player, being talkative, having a horn on your forehead because you're part unicorn; those are all states of being and personality traits, favored activities aren't a common point amongst the group

people with different personalities (and forehead appendages) benefit from experiencing people from outside their common spheres and we shouldn't be trying to cloister everyone among their like-minded individuals

****, sociological behavior for humans and human/unicorn hybrids would suggest that will already happen to a certain degree naturally

I know what u mean, since i played a lot of MMO's too. But what i meant was at least people who will reply if asked a question, or people who try to help others when they can. I find that so far i'm like the only person in my server that answers peoples questions in the game.

Besaid? It's the unofficial RP server, apparently.

1.) This is open beta, therefore people are going to spend more time doing other things than grouping because as of right now there's not much benefit.
2.) Gil sellers spam the shout channel around camps pretty often. Sometimes they don't, but usually they do. Thanks to SE for not putting in an easier way to blacklist Gheyfjaj Selrsfji you have to manually type that name in by hand just to have another show up next time you stop by a camp. So many make a practice out of filtering shouts altogether.
3.) The chat window gets cluttered easliy. Unless you actively filter out everything you don't wanna see (And I have a strong doubt anyone bothers with using the filters.) anything others say will usually get shoved off the screen and disappear.
4.) Some questions might have already been answered. No offense but I know alot of people who are too lazy to check the internet to get their answers (My roomie's one of them. Instead of looking something up he makes me drop what I'm doing to go see.) and end up bothering everyone else.
5.) In cases such as camps, you'll often have those who just idle or go AFK for extended periods of time.
6.) Remember, while open beta more people than closed beta, this doesn't represent the numbers we'll see come release. 22nd will see a large sum but come the 30th that population will double if not quadruple.
