Speaking as a master of the art of "that's what she said", in the context of a "that's what she said" joke, there's really not much to get with that statement - it's too obtuse to be an effective joke to most people who don't think "that's what she said" is automatically funny (it isn't).
"That's what she said" relies on immediate forced recontextualization for the joke to work, but "the "!" will appear when you can sit on something..." has two major barriers to this which can ruin the joke.
"Sit" is, by itself, fairly innocuous; "something" is innocuous, generic, and indirect. Put together as "sit on something", and it's too bland to be generally funny. There are some interpretations that are funny, but the joke only works if your mind can zero in on them quickly, and the potential search space is so large and overwhelmingly populated by unfunny interpretations that many people's minds will not be able to do this. Mine can't, even though my mind practically IS the proverbial gutter...
The part about the exclamation point only makes sense in the context of the game's interface - if your mind drops that context while re-interpreting the statement, you've already lost the joke.
Jokes of this class rely on fast reinterpretation for their humor. If you don't instantly find it funny, you probably never will, even if you are able to see intellectually how one could find it funny.
Also, the key to humor is timing. Apologizing for a joke before you make it, as the person who posted the joke in the first place did, pretty much kills the joke right there for a lot of people.
