I spent like 10hrs exploring, and was far from seeing it all. So i cant be sure ofc.
There is some diversity, but not much.
the only big diversity is in the difference in the maps themselves. Like Ul-dah is desert, Gridania is forest.
Gridania mostly looks all the same.
In ul-dah there are minor differences, like theres some cactuses deeper in, otherwise its all the same.
I dont think a new type of cactus in same enviroment makes it exciting and diverse lol :)
The only real difference in enviroment in ul-dah is when you cross the bridged pathways across some chasms, in the mountains. its quite fertile, and lots of trees etc there. but ALL those areas look exactly the same too.
If the game is work-in-progress, i hope they change the landscape a bit over time, to diversify it a bit.
Still its good looking landscapes, but if you gonna spend years playing, it might be fun if the landscape changes more. even in same map.
