Is there currently no option for buying FFXIV and getting the CD-key e-mailed to you rather than using the postal service? I'm from Norway, and if I buy the game today I will not have it before a couple of days after the pre-release, any suggestions?

There's currently no E-purchase (such as Fileplanet) available.

There is no site who will sell you the game via postal service, but still send you the CD-key on time via e-mail either?

The CD key will be of no benefit to you without the discs because there will be no legitimate source to download the full client. And there's no real benefit to registering your CD key to your account before you have the discs, because a 15+ GB install will leave you with plenty of time to get that taken care of while you're waiting for the game to make its way to your hard drive.

Do you have anyone you trust who can preorder the game and pick it up wednesday, send you the key, rip the discs and upload them to you? They'd have to have a good upload connection though. But that's the only way I can think of.

So because you can't play wednesday you don't want to play at all? I don't understand.

Clearly s/he would fall SO far behind others that's getting a head start on nonexistent content and a player run economy. >.> People are just impatient/overly excited lol.

I don't think they are even selling the game through their own site. This was surprising to me.

I'm assuming the first 2 days will be non existent anyways with their servers getting slammed out again. Hopefully I'm wrong but I can't imagine it going that good. Either way tho.... whether you start on the 22nd the 30th or a month after it's an mmo you won't be the last to play....

I think there will be online downloads one day, just not right away. One big problem that AION had was in day one they had RMT and bots like crazy and basically all those accounts were being made with stolen credit cards and downloads from steam etc. That made it really easy for them.
