Hate to break it to you.. it's unlikely you will be able to run FFXIV with that system, even on low..

While there are some decent gaming laptops out there, they just aren't as capable as their desktop counterparts as far as price/performance.

You computer appears to be faster than mine... Id say get a nice Graphics card to go in that PCI slot., not sure what will fit in a laptop though.. my new card is thicker than most laptops..
My computer runs every game, BUT FFXIV smooth.

I think it is to late to try the beta... can you play any games on your computer? did you try:

I hate to say it, but the basics are what are going to kill you. 512mb Video Memory is bad, ~2gb system memory. Here's some detailed stats for your 310M laptop video card:

If you bottom out all the video performance in the config tool for live and bottom out all the in-game video config settings, you may have a fighting chance. But you will be held back by your lack of GPU power, and it's tough-to-impossible to bother upgrading Laptops these days. Good luck, though!

GeForce 310 269
GeForce 310M 285

Minimum required is in the 800-1000 range to play the game well.. I have the Radeon HD 5750 benches around 1500 and the game runs beautifully.

Sorry but you won't have fun.. You oculd get the game ot run but it will be jumpy as **** on mud settings;;
